27.jpg The Consortium of Sicilian Olive Oil Producers was founded in 2001 from a strategic alliance between Manfredi Barbera & Figli S.p.A., the Palermo Olive Growers Association and the Consortium of Sicano Oil. This important agreement brings together key players in the Sicilian olive oil industry and creates a direct connection between the producer and the consumer. More than 10,000 olive growers belong to the Consortium, 40% of whom are members of the Palermo Olive Growers Association, 40% of the Consortium of Sicano Oil and the remaining 20% already associated with Manfredi Barbera & Figli S.p.A.
The olives are sent off to a network of more than 25 oil mills located mainly in the provinces of Palermo, Agrigento and Trapani. The finished product is stored in four warehouse centres and then packaged in three facilities located predominantly in Custonaci and Palermo.


Our objectives

  1. To create an alliance between the professionals and organizations involved in the Sicilian olive growing and oil producing process.
  2. To produce the highest quality products at reduced prices, obtained and bottled in accordance with the highest standards of quality, hygiene and food quality, as guaranteed by the most important certifications: ISO 9001, BRC certificate, IFS certificate and Kosher Technical Consultants.
  3. To orchestrate shared initiatives for the entire production process, in addition to selling and distributing some of the most prestigious brands in the Italian olive oil-making sector: Premiati Oleifici Barbera, Frantoia, Primagoccia, Tre Poderi, Montepollino, Apolivo, Sicano and Castello di Ogliastrello.
  4. To offer contract packing services to the world of food distribution, with a special focus on high quality products such as organic oils and oils carrying the protected designation of origin” seal.
